Warhammer Devs Want You To Play Hellgate

From the Warhammer Online Dev Chat last night...

"Question: What game would your recommend playing untill Warhammer Online is released?

Josh Drescher: Hellgate. OH WAIT, you probably can't yet. Hellgate is so very good. Also, hungry Hungry Hippos.
Adam Gershowitz: shhh Josh NDA
Josh Drescher: I mean...uh..."

And so do I. Go pre-order, now. Every other MMO and its brother is getting delayed, Tabula Rasa is good but not worth your hard-earned cash... but Hellgate is bliss. It's not Diablo 3... it's Hellgate 1. And you need to play it. :)

Looks too gruesome for me but likely right up hubby's alley. So I better not tell him. :P

He's so bored with MMO's he's been playing Vampire - The Masquerade. Too violent for me so I'm still chugging away solo in EQ2/SWG.

Oddly enough, my fiancee like vampire/zombie/dark fantasy stuff a lot more than I do. She might enjoy this one.

It's a trick. Get an axe...

Hellgate is no slam dunk, and is actually pretty disapointing in some areas of the gameplay.

I'd highly recommend anyone interested try it first before plunking down your hard earned $50 for the box.

I have to disagree, Scott. I love the game, and been there for a while now (Alpha). It's got it's share of stability problems, but I expect such a thing from a beta.

It's what I've been longing for from an action rpg, since TQ sort of disappointed me last year. In my opinion, and I may be one of few, it's immensely more playable than Diablo 2.

But I may be crazy. :)

I'll be curious to compare opinions and reviews on it. I'm pretty harsh with most games so that's definately why I ask people to try them for themselves if there's any doubt. ;)

love Hellgate, great if you have limited play hours, has hardcore mode (yay)and most importantly it is FUN to play ... and with a small group of freinds teaming together the fun just doubles
